WOTD Monday May 7, 2012 - By Christen Haylett

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday May 7, 2012

The word of the day comes from Ecclesiastes 3:1-8,

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace."

My interpretation

There is a time for everything!  At any given time anything can happen. Sometimes things happen in our lives that we wish would not have happened whether it be that we lost a job, lost a loved one, loss of a friendship, had a car accident, or even just an argument with someone. Of course while we are going through these things we think, “This is the worst thing ever, and I’m not sure if I will ever make it out of this”. But what we have to realize is that everything that we go through in our lives all the hardships, happy times, and the experiences that we endure make us stronger and wiser.  The argument that we had with our friend opens our eyes up to different areas about your relationship, the car accident that you got into makes you a more cautious driver, the loss of your loved one gives you a greater appreciation for their lives and the impact they had on you and hopefully will even strengthen you relationship with God.  God allows us to go through things to make us stronger in our lives physically and spiritually. He has a master plan for all of our lives and even though at times we may not like it, we must understand it is necessary.  There is a time and place for everything we cannot control it or prevent it, all we can do is endure and pray.  God can bring us through ANYTHING we just have to have faith!

Have a wonderful, blessed, productive, stress free day!

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday April 30, 2012

The word of the day comes from Habakkuk 2:2,

2And the LORD answered me, and said, write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

My interpretation

It is wise to have a goal in mind in everything that you do whether it is at home, work, in school, in your career, in your diet, in your work out plan…etc…We can accomplish all things with Christ on our side!  All we have to do it write them out make it plan before God and others that we are serious about this and ask the Lord to help us in our journey.  God wants to see that we have a serious commitment to Him and to the goals that we have set, that it why it is essential to plan our goals carefully and deliberately, not in haste.  Once you set this goal you must be committed so if you want to lose 30 pounds then you probably need to exercise more and set some rules and restrictions on your diet…so eating French fries every other day is probably not going to achieve that 30 pound goal (believe me I am talking to myself! J).  If our goal is to have a closer relationship with the Lord we need to ensure we are reading and praying more as well as set some restrictions on what we watch, listen to, and who we hang around.  So if we desire to be closer to Christ we must be serious, committed and make a change in our lives in order to accomplish that goal.  Let’s get committed to our physical and spiritual goals today and watch God work in our lives!

Have a wonderful, blessed, productive, stress free day!

Word of the Day April 23, 2012 - By Christen Haylett

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday April 23, 2012

The word of the day comes from Psalm 37:3-5
3 Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.  4 Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.  5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

My interpretation

Often times random things happen to us and we think “WOW how lucky am I that this happened to me.”  But in actuality Luck had nothing t o do with it, what we should think is “WOW how BLESSED am I that this happened to me!” When we begin to recognize and we see the Lord’s hand in our lives, it brings forth a deep gratitude and a growing desire to do what He wants us to do.  God enjoys blessing us and when we are obedient to His word He enjoys even more rewarding us.  First trust God and do what He calls you to do, then He will give you the desires of your heart.  If you know that God’s hand is in everything, you can leave everything in God’s hands and trust Him fully.  We have to learn to commit our complete trust to Him and let Him have his way.  Be a blessing to someone else today and share an experience with someone about how you trust in the Lord and how God has blessed you!

Have a wonderful, blessed, productive, stress free day!

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday April 16, 2012

The word of the day comes from Romans 7:7

The Law and Sin
7 What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. For I would not have known what coveting really was if the law had not said, “You shall not covet.”

Today’s Word Comes

Colossians 3:23 (NLT) by Lakisha Goldsberry

23 Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. 24 Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and the Master you are serving is Christ.
