Word of the Day (11-21-11)

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday November 21, 2011

As we do yearly, I like to take this time to reflect on God’s grace and mercy and the many reasons we have to be thankful. Now as Christians we should be giving God the glory with thankful hearts everyday because we realize He is our strength, our deliverer, our redeemer, our covering, our provider, our sanctifier, our banner, our protector, our friend, our healer, our Father, our Savior, our Helper, our cleansing, our first love, our everything. Jesus tells us that we can do all things with Him and nothing without Him. I don’t know what has been going on in your life lately. I don’t know what you have struggled with. I don’t know what has you depressed, has you down, has you sulking, has you envious, has you jealous, and has you covetous but STOP IT! God has been TOO GOOD to you. Yes to you! In spite of how things have looked of late in your life: marriage, kids, job, health, finances or whatever else you want to throw in there. He has kept you. You know how I know because He is a keeper.

I want you to think about something. If you have a child, is there EVER a time in which your child is without? Do you not give your last to make sure that your son or daughter is taken care of? To make sure they have clothes on their back, food in the stomach, roof over the head, means to get from one place to another. Now this doesn’t mean that the clothes have to the most expensive of the name brands, the food has to be Ruth Cris, the roof has to be a mansion, the transportation has to be a Benz, it can be Wal-Mart clothes, Shoppers food, apartment and a bus pass but you have still provided. Don’t diminish how you provide for your family and don’t be ungrateful and devalue how God has provided for you.

Holidays for whatever reason seem to have people in the worse spirits when it should be a time to really sit and reflect on the goodness of Jesus. Reflect how He has brought us through and brought us this far. He has provided and made ways out of no ways. He has kept and healed and delivered so why are we worried about things? God has been too good to us to doubt Him now. If you are stressing this week it is because you are looking at the forest from ground level. You need the view point God has. From where your mind is, you can’t see that the length of forest is not as vast as it seems. You can’t see that there is a resting spot just a few more feet with running water for your drink. You can’t see that there is a camp stop just a few miles away where there will be food, shelter and heat. All you can see is what is in front of you and you can very well give up, turn around or get lost and YOU ARE RIGHT THERE!!!!!! YOU ARE RIGHT THERE!!! Your rescue, your deliverance, your healing, your provision is just a few steps away!!!
I don’t know why God has me here but I know someone reading this today needed God to intervene and intervene at this very moment because they had given up. I pray that God (not Gamal) has shown you His love for you, His attention to your life, His concern for your well being and His commitment to never leave your nor forsake you.

Enjoy the holiday season. Be blessed in it. Keep the joy of the Lord as your strength and don’t let that be taken away by your circumstances.

Matthew 6:25-34

New International Version (NIV)
Do Not Worry
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[a]?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Have a wonderful, blessed, productive, stress free day!
