Word of the Day (4-9-12)

Good Morning Everyone

Today is Monday April 9, 2012

The word of the day comes from

Romans 6:4

New International Version (NIV)
4 We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.

My Interpretation

I thought about this scripture this morning in the sense of newness of life. You know that I have adopted the saying as the Lord gave it to me that Mondays are now or should be seen as #NewBeginningMONDAYS. Reason being whatever we didn’t correct, do right, finish the week before, Monday metaphorically symbolizes God giving us a fresh start, a new perspective, a new opportunity to right and wrong and accomplish what was left slack the week before.

Seeing that yesterday was Resurrection Sunday that takes on a whole new meaning to me today. For those of us who have been adopted into the Kingdom of God by the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ, we are given a new life. Doesn’t matter what type of reputation you had prior: thug, drunk, liar, stealer, freak, loose, gambler, cheater, murderer, etc in Christ they are erased. In Christ, you no longer have to hold your head down in shame because of your past. In Christ, your sins are forgiven no matter how horrific they were in your eyes or are in the eyes of others. In Christ, you are given a second chance to make a first impression. In Christ, old things have passed away and all things have been made new (2 Corinthians 5:17 paraphrased). In Christ, you have new life. Go out and enjoy it today. Especially this #NewBeginningMONDAY!

Have a wonderful, blessed, productive, stress free day!
